PROJECT HIGHLIGHT
Norma Cameron's "Bond That Bought The Boler"
Canada Investment and Savings faces
the challenge of marketing Canada Savings Bonds (CSB) in a
highly competitive financial products marketplace where competitors'
offerings often outpace CSB returns. We proposed a digital
storytelling project that would reinforce CSB's historical
connections to Canadian heritage and nationalism in a highly
engaging and personal manner.
Canadians were invited to submit a written
story highlighting the impact of Canada Savings Bonds on their
lives. Out of 700 entries, 11 were selected to be created
as digital stories that were to be hosted on the CSB website.
Interviews were recorded and conducted
by phone with each author, and using a combination of original
photography and artifacts supplied by the authors, METROPOLIS
used Flash MX to create these compelling personal
moments.
